I've been a semi-pro photographer for 25 years and have only recently gone digital. Having spent most of my life using Kodachrome 64, I was reluctant to accept that digital could ever compete with the quality of transparency film. However, with a little encouragement from my girlfriend, I am now a true digital convert... and it's given me a new passion for getting out there and taking pictures.


The images I'm selecting for this site are a mix of old and new. The old being scans of some very old transparencies and the new being pictures taken recently with Nikon DSLR's. Over the years, I've built a varied and unique library of approximately 10,000 images. Ouch - that makes me feel old! ; )

I'm a freight train driver and have a large collection of diesel locomotive pictures dating back to the 1980's. Anyone with an interest in the railways, should get in touch. I'm always happy to share my pictures with people.

But I enjoy photographing all sorts of subjects and am always on the lookout for new challenges.
